CWD Cruise Day Four
At sea, off the coast of Grand Bahama
January 1, 2004

[ Report Intro | Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 ]

Today was the scheduled 'at sea' day, designed to enjoy on board activities and relax in the sun. The ship spent most of the day off the coast of Grand Bahama in 6000 feet of water. The weather was perfect - not a cloud in the sky and a very comfortable 80 degrees. Our CWD group gathered for discussion and coffee in a quiet area on deck as others had breakfast and staked out their chairs poolside for the day. There were lots of fun activities scheduled throughout the day, including a Belly Flop Contest and a horse race! In the sports area, several CWD teens and a couple of parents tried out the Rock Climbing Wall and discovered it is much harder than it looks! Dinner that evening was a bit sad as we said goodbye to new friends and exchanged email addresses and phone numbers. We all knew the morning would be rushed, as cabins had to be vacated by 8 a.m. The teens gathered for one last basketball game and one last movie… while most of the parents either headed to bed early or spent some quiet time outdoors on the upper decks, enjoying the stars and the sea breeze.
