Wednesday, July 10, 3:00-4:30 p.m. The First Timers Reception, sponsored by Sanofi Diabetes. Join other First Timers to meet some key CWD people and learn ‘how to do FFL.’ You’re sure to come away with new friends. This is a 90 minute program, not a drop-in. Come right at 3:00. Refreshments served. Fiesta 5 and 6.
Wednesday, July 10, 6:00-9:00p.m. Grand Opening of the Exhibit Hall and Reception, sponsored by OneTouch. This is a high energy, crowded, FUN evening. Meet the exhibitors for the first time; get great info and great giveaways. Bring your appetite (no need to eat dinner first). Veracruz B and C.
Wednesday, July 10, 8:00-10:00 p.m. Young Adults Dinner. For ages 18-22 (those participating in the college age program or volunteering as staff), this dinner is just for you! Durango Ballroom; RSVP required to Laura Billetdeaux by June 15. Purely a social event to help you get to know each other!
Thursday, July 11, 6:30-10:30 p.m. The Family and Friends Banquet, sponsored by Novo Nordisk. This year’s theme: The Friends for Life Ball. Think castles and fairytales. Princes and princesses. Combined with a fabulous FFL meal with portion sizes and carb counts. And a gluten free buffet. And DJ Miles… and Disney characters! Tickets are required for the dinner/program portion, which lasts until about 8:30. This is a dressy event – wear whatever you consider ‘fancy’ – or dress as your favorite Disney prince or princess! Coronado Ballroom (the big one!).
Friday, July 12, 7:00-11:00 p.m. Adults with Type 1 Casino Night, sponsored by Tandem Diabetes. Back by popular demand – an evening of fun, food, and friends just for adults with type 1 and significant others. Fiesta 5 and 6.
Friday, July 12, 9:00-11:00 p.m. Dessert and Posters with the Faculty. This evening with the Faculty has become a FFL tradition. Drop by any time and have some dessert and a beverage; all ages welcome. Chat with the faculty and learn about their current research. Outside Veracruz B and C.
Saturday, July 13, 10:30-2:00 The FFL Scavenger Hunt! This is a fun and interesting scavenger hunt with clues around the Coronado Springs property. Pick up your instructions at 10:30 in front of Veracruz A, and spend some time exploring! Teams are encouraged. Disney Dollar prizes will be awarded at 3:00 in front of Veracruz A.
Saturday, July 13, 1:30-2:30 Ice Cream Meet-n-Greet with the Disney Characters. Outside Veracruz A. Cool off in the AC and enjoy a Mickey Bar. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto will be joining us.
Saturday, July 13, 8:00-11:00 p.m. Tween Glow Party, sponsored by Medtronic. Wear something that will glow under black lights, and come spend a fun and energetic evening with DJ Miles. He loves the tween group! Ice cream will be served at 8:30. Fiesta 6.
Saturday, July 13, 8:00-midnight; Teen Dinner Dance, sponsored by Medtronic. Dress up and dance… this year the teens get the Hummer! Dinner provided right at 8:00. Fiesta 5.
