Ricky was diagnosed with diabetes on October 1, 2000. The Courtney's consist of Dad Rick, who was diagnosed in February 1997, mom Karen, Ricky 14, and Jessica 5. We live in Maine. We lost "Grammy," Jolene Beaulieu to complications of this chronic, life-threatening disease exactly 17 days after Ricky was diagnosed, so a cure is something we wish is within our reach n our lifetime.
