Dylan Hall
Diagnosed August 1, 2004

Dylan is 10 years old and in the fifth grade. He lives in Harper, Kansas with mom (Tina), dad (Tom), sister Elva (17), and several. His other siblings are Jennifer (32) in Oklahoma, Sam (24) in Derby, Kansas, and Amber (19) in Wichita, Kansas. He is also the proud uncle of Porter (4) and Dominick (2). He enjoys sports, having been active in baseball, soccer, flag football, and shooting. He has been an active Cub Scout for five years and is preparing to graduate to Boy Scouts at the end of 2005. Dylan excels in math, science and reading.

Dylan has seen what diabetes can do because his grandmother and biological father both suffered complications from this insidious, often misunderstood disease (they are both now deceased). Dylan and his family continue to try to educate other about diabetes and continue the fight for a cure. We are lucky that our family, community, church and school are very supportive in Dylan's fight to find a cure and someday to be just a kid, not a kid with diabetes.

Mary Copenhaver, Dylan's Sunday School teacher, graciously designed and sewed his CWD quilt square.
