ADA Diabetes Advocacy update
August 27, 1998

Help make finding a cure for diabetes an election year issue!

This election year, ADA is urging all candidates for Congress to show their support for finding a cure for diabetes. Candidates can show their support by completing and returning a Diabetes '98 Candidate Survey to the ADA.

A copy of the survey and a listing of all the candidates are located on the ADA's webpage at A copy of the letter ADA sent to all candidates is also available at this address.

Help ADA fight for a cure. Visit our website [], download the information, and contact the candidates in your area. Urge them to complete and return the Diabetes '98 Survey to ADA. Candidates talk about a lot of issues during a campaign, why not diabetes?

Our goal is to have 50% of all candidates return the survey. That way we can hit the ground running when the new Congress convenes in January.

Good luck and please contact me if I can provide additional information about this or any other effort. Many thanks for your support of diabetes advocacy and the American Diabetes Association.
