ADA and HHS Host Diabetes Town Hall Meeting, June 18th in Little Rock, Arkansas
For a number of years, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) has been working with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to develop a national strategic plan to deal with the diabetes epidemic in the United States.
Secretary Thompson has taken our concerns seriously and is leading an effort to take diabetes awareness and prevention to a new level. One aspect of the development of this plan is to hold Town Hall Meetings across the country. The second of the meetings will be held in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 18th, and will focus on detection of diabetes and education about the disease. This is a great opportunity to hear what the federal government and several states are doing to combat the epidemic of diabetes. Don't miss it -- register for this FREE event today!
