Question: Does insulin make one more photosensitive? One pediatrician told us it does, another said he could find nothing to support the claim.
Answer:
No, I've never heard this. However, if there is any question, you or preferably your doctor should contact the insulin company directly (Eli Lilly or Novo Nordisk). They will tell you if there have been any reports, and will want information regarding this person's experience to collect information for analysis to decide in the future if this is truly a rare complication.
