From Buenos Aires, Argentina:
My 12 year old son, diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 2 months ago, is having recurrent hypoglycemia at school. How can you tell if you are starting the honeymoon period?
I would suggest talking to your doctor about lowering your child's insulin dose, or making another appropriate change in the diabetes care if low blood sugar is a problem.
During the honeymoon period, you would often find a decreased insulin requirement and more even blood sugar results.
