From Québec, Canada:

Can a moderate level of ketones cause nephropathy? In other words, are ketones nephrotoxic?

Ketones have been shown to enhance the nephrotoxicity of certain drugs in laboratory animals. In diabetes, however it is the associated poor control that leads to both kidney damage and ketone production.
