From Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada:

I have gestational diabetes; how do I control what I eat? What type of menu of foods should be included? I eat a lot of rice, pasta, fruits and juices. Should I be eating/drinking more milk, etc., or should I eat more often?

Rather than go over an extensive menu plan here I would recommend that you obtain the details of the diabetic diet from a dietitian Your obstetrician should refer you for this information. In general, though, the diet that you should be on minimizes simple sugars (which are present in juices and fruits) and emphasizes complex carbohydrates (pasta, grains, etc.) with appropriate protein and fat intake.
