From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA:
My blood sugar test came back 307. How bad is that?
Blood sugars are not "good" or "bad" but yours is definitely a lot higher than expected. Non-diabetic blood sugars rarely go over 200, and are below 126 if you hadn't eaten recently.
It's not clear from your letter if you have previously been told you have diabetes or not. If you have diabetes, something in your program needs adjustment, as continued high sugars can cause complications to your health. Or, if you didn't already have a diagnosis of diabetes, and if the high sugar level is reconfirmed on additional testing, welcome to the world of diabetes! Start learning everything you can, and with some work, you should be able to get your blood sugars back down in a short while.
