From Mississippi, USA:
My 15 year old daughter was diagnosed two years ago. She frequently breaks out with light cases of acne which clear, except 1 or 2 spots that always develop into open sores that take a week or two more to heal. She uses triple antibiotic ointment and keeps it clean, but is there anything else she may do to keep the acne from getting to this point? Does her glucose levels have anything to do with this?
Puberty is the main issue but certainly high blood sugars/poor control will cause poor healing and secondary infection of the spots.
