  223. My son is suspected of having type one diabetes. He is multi-handicapped with multi-system involvement. Three weeks ago, he began exhibiting signs of sudden onset diabetes. Should we request a consult with a pediatric endocrinologist? (4 Aug 2000)

  224. My son is 18 years old and was diagnosed with diabetes about 5 months ago. Doctors are still not sure if it is type 1 or MODY. How do we find out if it is MODY? (2 Aug 2000)

  225. My son was diagnosed with ketotic hypoglycemia three months ago. Now, when he's sick, his level goes to 277 mg/dl after two-and-one-half hours without eating. Our pediatrician said that he looks like he could be in a prediabetic state right now. (2 Aug 2000)

  226. Yesterday, my one-hour non-fasting glucose test came back 312 mg/dl (17.3 mmol/L). I am scheduled for a three-hour glucose test tomorrow. How likely is it that this is strictly gestational diabetes? Would diet be a consideration for me? (2 Aug 2000)
