Is a result of 0.9 for a C-peptide test good or bad? Is it low insulin production or normal?
If the blood sample was a single random one, not part of a tolerance test, and the figure 0.9 stands for ng/ml then this would be considered to be at the lower level of the normal range. You really need though to ask your doctor about this because normal values vary between laboratories and reports should always be accompanied by a statement of that laboratory's normal range. Fasting C-peptide levels are lower than random ones.
