Question:

From Pakistan:

When I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a year ago, my testosterone level was normal, but not so high, and now my sugar is normal. Can normal diabetes affect testosterone level?

Answer:

Type 2 diabetes doesn't usually cause lowering of the testosterone levels. It may affect the nerves that influence sexual functioning, however.
