From Kansas, USA:

Is it possible to have type 1 diabetes and type 2 at the same time?

When one has had type 1 diabetes for a long time, they can start having signs of insulin resistance which is a hallmark of type 2 diabetes. I suppose you could say that they have type 1 diabetes and signs of type 2 diabetes at the same time.
