How long does it take glucose to appear in the urine following an oral glucose dose (provided it is above the renal threshold) in a fasting individual?


I think glucose can appear reasonably quickly in a person with diabetes, if the renal threshold is reached, most likely within an hour at least, possibly within 30 minutes if it is quickly absorbed from the gut as glucose tends to be.
