From Egypt:

We need help to determine which is better to use during the day, NovoRapid or Actrapid, because we have a conflict here between doctors. This is for a 15-month-old baby diagnosed less than a week ago.

This really is a difficult question. It is difficult to manage with diabetes in such a small one.

I generally use the analogue NovoRapid (what we call NovoLog) along with a longer acting insulin. One can use Actrapid (what we call Regular) as we have for decades. Sometimes, the style of management is the issue.

You just have to decide to whom you choose to follow and pick a doctor who you will trust. Diabetes management is somewhat of an art and not black and white.
