  1. I have had diabetes about 30 years and am worried my children will get it. So, I checked my son's blood sugar when he was acting "off." It was actually low. How concerned should I be? (28 Aug 2013)

  2. My son was spilling ketones with an elevated blood sugar last night so we gave him water and extra insulin. Overnight he was low. Ketones returned this morning. Was this just due to dehydration? At what point do I call the doctor? I'm confused by the off and on ketones. (28 Aug 2013)

  3. My son's dad smokes a pipe in his home affecting my son's type 1 and allergies. Can you provide me with information about the effects of the smoke? My son no longer wants to visit his dad, but a therapist says he should be forced to go. (6 Aug 2013)
