Hello everyone! My name is Staisy Kibart and I am 11 years old. I got diabetes last July before I turned 10. I go to school at a private school called The Williams Middle School in Massachusetts and I am in 6th grade.
Sometimes when I have free time, I like to come on this website and read all of the other kid's pages. It makes me think to myself how lucky I am to have diabetes. Even though it isn't fun to have, people with diabetes are lucky. We don't have to deal with other diseases like cancer and AIDS. My friend, who's only four years old has a type of cancer and he had to have parts of his nose removed. I feel very bad for him. It makes me think that there are worse diseases I could have other than diabetes.
But other than going on the computer, I love to dance. I take pre-pointe, jazz, tap, and ballet. My favorite type of dance is jazz, because it lets you hang loose and have fun. My favorite sports are soccer and basketball and I also love to swim in my pool in the summer. I also am a big fan of the Spice Girls and Hanson.
When I grow up, I hope to either be a dancer on Broadway or a diabetes doctor so I could tell my patients what it's like to have diabetes. I could also tell them that they're not alone in the world of people with diabetes.
Well, I hope to talk to some of you soon. My email address is Stais99999@aol.com. I'll answer every letter I get.
See you later! Bye!
