Back to Kids' Voices Danny Lang
Hi! My name is Danny Lang. Things have changed a little since I was first on this home page. I was diagnosed in May 1999. I am now on 4 shots a day. Moving out of the honeymoon period has made things challenging for me and my family, but we're still learning. There is so much to know! I am taking Humalog and NPH, which seems to be working OK. I am a huge sports fanatic! I just finished playing indoor soccer and I'm now playing basketball. My dad is the coach. But, I'm really looking forward to baseball in the spring, it's my favorite! My favorite players are Mark McGwire and Nomar Garciaparra. Since we live in Massachusetts, we are Red Sox fans!

I have 2 younger brothers, who sometimes drive me crazy! But, they also help a lot with my diabetes, telling me it's time to check my sugar and everything. I'm in the second grade and really love school (sometimes!). I would love to hear from other kids with diabetes, especially those who have a pump or are thinking about getting one. I would like to get one someday. It's nice sharing stories and getting advice from others. One thing I do know, I'm not going to let diabetes stop me from doing anything I want to do! Let's all pray for a cure to happen in our lifetime! You can e-mail me at BIGDAN4992@aol.com.
