My name is Robert and I am 9 years old and live in Florida. I was diagnosed when I was 5 years old. There are a few other diabetics in my school and we have a great nurse who makes sure we all stay on top of our testing through the day. During the summer I go to YMCA camp. I am doing very well managing my numbers on injections.
On the weekends I go kayaking with my Mom out to the islands for the day where we like to swim, fish and collect shells. We always pack plenty of water, juice and healthy snacks for the day..."have cooler will travel".
I enjoy video games, playing with my friends and most of all my labradoodle Barley.
Feel free to drop me an e-mail me at
rbi57 AT tampabar.rr.comas I would love to hear from other kids with diabetes.
