Hi, my name is Scott. I am ten and was diagnosed with diabetes in September 2004. I live in Ayr on the west coast of Scotland.
I use an Accu Check meter for my finger pricks (finger pokes). I do my own injections and finger pricks and can look after myself when low. I am the only person in my family with diabetes type one and am considering a pump as my injections sometimes hurt.
I enjoy football (soccer) and play also on the computer, playstation and gameboy. I am good at tennis, badminton and table tennis and hope to be in my school badminton team.
I would like to hear from other people with diabetes as I don't know very many people with type 1.
Please contact me by email at cara.dooley AT tesco.net.
