Hi, my name is Ryan. I have had diabetes for three years, since I was 13. I vividly remember when I was taken to the hospital that night on August 28, 2002. My blood sugar was almost 800. My parents are both nurses so they knew the symptoms right off the bat.
Some of my favorite things to do are to watch TV, play video games, and to do anything outdoors. My favorite video games are the Grand Theft Auto series.
I have been on a Cozmo Insulin Pump since January of 2004. I am an only child. I have a cat named Sushi and a dog named Belle. I love to travel and some of the places I have been are San Francisco, California, New York City, and Chicago, Illinois.
Some of my favorite bands are Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Journey.
I have lived in Florida for 14 years. My favorite TV shows are CSI, CSI:Miami, CSI: New York, Survivor, Navy NCIS, The Amazing Race, and America's Most Wanted. So as you can probably see I watch a lot of TV. I am also an avid kayaker and rock climber. I am active in the Boy Scouts and am about to obtain my Eagle Scout Award.
