What's up? My name is Karra I am 16 years old and have been a diabetic for sure since August of 1999. I was diagnosed when I was nine years old. I was living in California at the time with my mom. I had been having lots of problems when I was younger and doctors kept diagnosing me with a rare disease called Sicklick vomiting syndrome. Diabetes runs on both sides of my family. So I guess I was doomed to get it. My grandpa has it and it skipped my mom and I have it and then it skipped my little sister who is 10.
I used to take anywhere from 6 to 12 shots a day and then in the beginning of 2000 I got my insulin pump. I could never go back to shots after being on the pump. Being on the pump has made my life living with diabetes so much easier. Right now I'm on the MiniMed 508 pump -- it's like a dinosaur but I'm supposed to be getting the MiniMed 712 or 715 I think very soon.
I like to listen to many kinds of music such as country, rock, 80's ,metal, rap and others. I like watching movies, hanging out with my friends, shopping, tattoos, and piercings. I like a lot of different things so if anyone wants to email me at
macksburgcutie_04 AT yahoo.comI'll be happy to e-mail you back. I love talking to new people so don't be shy.
I'm currently living in Ohio in a little town and I love it because now I can spend time with my family and with animals I couldn't have in California. I am supposed to get a horse soon and I'm so excited because I love horses. Well, I hope to hear from someone soon -- talk to everyone later.
