Hi! My name is Taleb Al Taher, and I'm from Jordan.
My story is that me and my mum were visiting my aunt and my cousins in Qatar in May 2009 and everything was ok. Then one day I kept drinking water and going to the bathroom non-stop.
When my aunt noticed she told my mum to take me to hospital and have my blood tested once we get back to Jordan. When we reached Jordan, my mum took me straight to the hospital. I had my blood tested.
My blood sugar was 754 Mg/dL = HI. I didn't know it was such a big deal and I said to myself, "OK, we're done here, we're going back home finally." Then suddenly one of the diabetes doctors came to me and said you're going to sleep in the hospital tonight.
They took me to the ICU room and started to give me insulin drips and all that. The next day I was out of the hospital. Before I went, the doctor taught me how to take insulin injections and now I'm living a happy life with diabetes. : )
