Hi. My name is Julia. I was diagnosed with type 1 when I was just turning four. Now I'm seven years old. I was drinking a lot and had to go to the bathroom a lot. My mom thought I had a bladder infection. I went to the doctor's and they said I had diabetes. It was the week before Halloween! I was in the hospital for about a week.
I have a dog and two brothers. I like to play with my friends and play soccer. I don't let diabetes stop me from doing what I love. God helps me through the tough times. My mentors are Brenna and Grace. They have type 1 diabetes, too. I take piano. I love it!
Diabetes can be tough but don't let it stop you from doing what you love.
