Several recent questions to the Diabetes Team about insulin pumps have generated quite a bit of controversy among our community of pump users. The goal for this poll was to determine at what age people thought it was appropriate to begin using an insulin pump. Of pump users, 60% felt that a child should be old enough to understand the concepts of the pump before starting it. Of non-pump users, 89% felt that way.
