What type of meal planning do you or your child use?
Poll dates: September 17 - 24, 2000
Total Votes: 942
Meal planning is an important part of diabetes management. Matching food to insulin or oral medications is critical to prevent hypo- and hyperglycemia. Carbohydrate counting offers the greatest flexibility, but requires more effort than exchanges or other types of meal planning.
Since we last ran this poll in November 1998, we've seen a large increase in the use of carbohydrate counting.
|Type of Meal Planning
|No meal planning
|No concentrated sweets
