Diabetes education is a critical component of diabetes care. The better educated a patient (or parents of a child with diabetes) is, the better the patient will be able to succeed in the day-to-day challenges of diabetes management. About 70% of our readers think the diabetes education they receive from their diabetes team is good or excellent. Unfortunately, 13% think the education they receive is poor or terrible.
