With so many studies showing that insulin pump therapy results in better metabolic control and less risk of hypoglycemia than injection therapy, more and more kids and adults are using insulin pumps. That's the good news. Even better news is that there are many pumps to choose from today, so it's easier than ever to find a pump that matches your needs.

If you're considering insulin pump therapy, talk with your diabetes team about the various pumps that are available. You should also contact each pump company and request information about their pumps, and ask what kind of assistance they can provide with your insurance company.
