Children with diabetes both need and deserve to have their diabetes well cared for while at school. Due to budgetary issues, many children with diabetes attend schools without any medical staff on site and have to rely on others to help if needed -- including helping to give insulin. Unfortunately, based on this poll, very few of these kids -- just 14% -- attend schools that train non-nurses to give insulin. That's less than reported in last year's poll.
