The Tiger Power Girls at McKnight Elementary

Ruby finally made it. She was delivered straight to the nurse's office by the mail lady. It was perfect timing since we were having our group lunch meeting so we were all together to open the box. We were excited to get the T shirts and had to put them on right away.

We had a drawing about who got to have Ruby fist and Claire won but since we have some special school activities going on, she will get to do those with all of us.
Today was so cool!! When I got Ruby I wouldn't let go of her. My teacher Mrs. Ferguson let me talk about Ruby for 15 minutes. Then my teacher Mr. Mori told me I was in the new paper!! Everyone wanted to see her. She is soooooo cute. Now we're in homeroom. I wish she was here when I helped organize a walk. We raised $540 but she is here for Memorial Day.

It was a big day at McKnight. Every year on the Friday before Memorial Day, the school celebrates by putting on a show. Each grade gets to perform songs and dance with all of the parents watching. Because of the rain, we had to have it in the gym this year. It was crowded but was still be fun. The State Senator always comes to talk to us about how important our country is and how we have to take care of it. Ruby got to watch the show with Mrs. Istone who also got to take the pictures. In the picture, Ruby is watching the third grade (Claire's) do their song and dance. They did a great job. You can see from the picture that the school is a sea of red, white, and blue.

When it came time for the 5th grade, they were so excited. They did a dance called the Hamster Dance which was a lot of fun.

Today was our group meeting and lunch, and it was switch day for Ruby. Ruby was now going to Laura's house for the week and to the 5th grade. We had some fun at lunch when Nicole and Laura showed Claire and Ruby how to do the Hamster dance.
