Saturday 8 March
Rufus arrived in the afternoon and I was very excited to see him. So were my brothers and sister. I am part of a set of quadruples. My brother, Zaakir, was born first, then sister Zahraa, then me and lastly my brother Shaahid. We were all born in 3 minutes. I also have an older brother, Luqmaan, who is a year older than us. We just finished having supper and getting ready for bed. Rufus is going to sleep with me tonight, although I know my brothers and sister would want to keep him also.

Sunday 9 March
I woke up this morning looking for Rufus everywhere, but later realized Luqmaan had him. We all had breakfast together and then Mom changed Rufus into something cool. We stayed at home most of the day and played outside. My brother took Rufus on a ride on his 4-wheeler motorbike, and I'm sure he loved every bit of it. It's time for supper and Mom took my sugar reading which was good (4.5). We took our insulin and had supper. Then it's off to bed and I'm making sure Rufus doesn't disappear again.

Monday 10 March
Today was school so Rufus stayed at home with Mum. I was back at 12 o'clock and then Mom tested our sugar and we had lunch together. We played outside most of the afternoon with my brothers and sister. Mum took some photographs for us with Rufus and then the routine starts again, into the bath, then testing, then supper and then off to bed. Rufus has become part of our routine and our lives.

Tuesday 11 March
Went to school as usual today and Rufus stayed with Mum. After school Rufus came along with me to our swimming lesson. He didn't join me in the water as it was too hot and he preferred to sit in the shade.

Wednesday 12 March
Today Rufus came along with me to school as my teacher is going to talk about him to the other kids. I'm excited that he's joining me today and I'm sure he's excited too.

Thursday 13 March
I went to school as usual and Rufus stayed at home. We only have 2 days left with Rufus as he's going off to spend some time with another child. We really will miss him. In the afternoon we played outside and ate some ice-lollies together.

Friday 14 March
I was back early from school today and Rufus and I played a little before lunch. Mom took our sugar readings which were good and then we had something to eat. We are going to try and enjoy every minute of today as Rufus will be leaving tomorrow. We rode on the motorbike, played cricket and just had lots of fun. Next week will be very different without Rufus as we got very attached to him.

Saturday 15 March
We just have a few hours left before Rufus is due to leave. I hope he's had as much fun as I did. We really will miss you Rufus. I hope you enjoyed your stay with us and I hope you come back soon to visit. May you enjoy the rest of your trip. Take care Rufus, we love you and we'll miss you very much.

Love from Maseeha, Sister Zahraa, Brothers Zaakir, Shaahid & Luqmaan Essa
