The Clegg Family, Oren, UT
March 5, 2001
Welcome to Orim, Utah Rufus! It was a long trip. Jace was so glad to have Rufus arrive today. Evening check for Rufus was 215. Must have been a rough ride. He is resting tonight. Sleeping with Jace and "Ru". (Jace's Rufus bear!)

Rufus went with Jace, Mom and Dad to our local Support Group Meeting tonight. All the people thought Rufus' trip is a great idea! Rufus thinks we have some fun things planned for our group. Jace, Rufus and "Ru" had a picture taken with Jeanette, Jace's CDE.

Rufus has been great fun to have around this week. He has met the neighbor kids and had fun outdoors. He went to work with Mom and taught lots of people about living with Type 1. Today he got to go to the public library and the grocery store. He taught more people about Type 1 and his trip around the world.

He and Jace got sick so we got him well so he could travel healthy. He is now 105 and will be off to California. While he was here he also learned Japanese from Jace's daddy (Tonyobyo = Diabetes - also translated as "Sugar Urine Disease").

Goodbye Rufus! It has been a pleasure to have you visit. Travel Safely!

The Cleggs! Jace - Lisa - Preston
