The Crowley Family, Bronxville, NY
2/2/01 - Today Mommy brought the a box to school for me to open in class - Oh, what a surprise! Rufus was inside! Rufus came with us to our school's Family Fun Night. Rufus and I got to go into a bubble as part of the Bubblemania show.
2/3/01 - Today Rufus came with us to the Palisades Mall. We played the arcade games and went shopping. Tonight we are going to celebrate the Chinese New Year with our friends, the Wolfe Family.
2/4/01- Rufus came to 9:30 Mass and he sang with me in the Children's Choir. Then we went to Trent's House and had lunch with Michelle, Tim, Trent, Sharon, Stephen and Gabi. I changed my site tonight. Rufus might want the pump, then he wouldn't have to have shots!
2/5/01 - We had no school today - it snowed so RUFUS GOT SNOWED IN AT OUR HOUSE! The editor of the local paper came and took a picture of Rufus and me; then we took Rufus to a pizza party. Rufus helped shovel the snow but not too much we didn't want him to get ruined.
2/6/01- Today my class had a Bon Voyage Party for Rufus. Everyone brought their bears. I brought Julie. The editor came and took our picture and talked to us. Rufus is staying with us one more night so we can talk to a news reporter on Wednesday. I don't feel good tonight so Rufus and I are cuddling in bed.
2/7/01- I have a cold and my sister has a sore throat. Mommy took us to the doctor. We got medicine just to make sure we don't get sick. A news reporter came today to talk to me about Rufus and diabetes. I told her all about testing and showed her my meter and then showed her the pump and how it works. I showed her how I can measure my food and count carbohydrates. I told her that having diabetes wasn't like being sick in bed that I can do anything I want to do. Then we took Rufus to Trent's House. I will miss Rufus and am glad I have Julie to cuddle with.
