Rufus arrived in Ottawa, Canada's national capital. We were surprised to see that Rufus was wearing a pump! Laura (age 5) is currently taking shots but we hope to get her on the pump this Fall. Rufus must have been lonely from his long trip from BC, because he cuddled with Laura all night long.

Happy Fourth of July to our American friends! Laura and Rufus ate breakfast together this morning. Rufus is a good eater. Every time I put a plate of berries in front of him, I return in 10 minutes and the plate is clean. Laura got her morning insulin through a shot. I pushed the buttons on Rufus' pump to give his insulin. Laura thought Rufus was lucky. Later, we took Rufus to the park.

We had an exciting day today. A TV crew came to our house to film Rufus. All of us were featured on the local 6 o'clock news.

Today we took Rufus sight-seeing around Ottawa. We saw The Changing of the Guard at Rideau Hall (the Governor General's residence). Rufus wanted to help out, so he took a turn standing on guard. Next we walked across the street to the Prime Minister's residence. Rufus wanted to sneak through the gate and go visiting. It's too bad that the Prime Minister wasn't home. Our last stop was Parliament Hill.
