Rufus is hand delivered to our door! We have heard all about him. Harry(5years old and diagnosed Jan '01) can't wait to see him. Harry's brother, George, 4 years, loves looking at all the badges on Rufus and has decided to give him one of his. Quite sunny this afternoon so we decided to take our dog (Ollie) for a walk in the park. Rufus loved the swings! Ollie wasn't too sure about Rufus, so we have to keep them separate. We took Rufus' finger prick, both Rufus and Harry are 8.4 which is fine before bed, so biscuit and milk and gooooooodnightttttttt!!!!
Friday 19th October
No school for Harry today (staff training day) but he likes to help out at his brothers pre-school, so off we go with Rufus so Harry can show him to the children. Rufus got to meet Nanny and Gaga (Harry's grandparents). Nanny is smitten with Rufus she loves teddy ears and has found her old teddy bear that she used to have as a child - I think Rufus has got a girlfriend!!!!!
Saturday 20th October
Rufus is off to Harry's friend's birthday party today. We've done his finger prick and he is absolutely perfect (5.4) but we've told him not to eat all the jam tarts! (They've been made with special sugar-free jam! yum! yum!) Harry and George really enjoy looking after him and are sorry to see him go - good luck on your travels Rufus! Send our love to all the type 1 diabetic children!
