Rufus arrived safely and at the perfect time. Nikko had a rough day (out of target - highs) after being in good control. Nikko was glad to see him. His first question was, "Where's his mommy?" and then wanted to know if Rufus ate sandwiches! Rufus went to Bible class with Nikko tonight and enjoyed a bite of birthday cake from Nikko's Bible class teacher.

Nikkolas has had a very difficult week. We finally traced the source of his unusual highs to a new bottle of insulin that we believe was a bad lot. Today we went to worship services in San Francisco at the Church of Christ. Afterwards we visited the sites as well as Nikko's grandmother, who lives there. We got pictures of the City Hall, but Nikko fell asleep before we could go to any of the bridges.

We tried to get to Disney on Ice, but there was a major traffic jam and Nikko fell asleep in the back seat while we tried to navigate it.

Tried Disney on Ice again, and history repeated itself, so I guess it wasn't meant to be! We enjoyed you, Rufus. Sorry things were so chaotic. We've never had a couple of weeks like the ones we just have. Not since Nikko's diagnosis.
Thank you for sharing with us and bringing understanding to our son.
