Today Rufus finally arrived! I looked at all his stuff and then we watched TV together. Before you know it it's 5:00 o'clock. We ate pizza! Rufus was down to 54! We gave him some apple juice and he was better. Then we went outside to play kickball with my friends. We came in at about 7:30. Rufus and I were 57 again so we drank some more apple juice. We went back outside until 8:00. I forgot to tell you I gave him 2 H for his supper shot. We read a chapter book called "Anastasia Has the Answers" for about 15 minutes. We checked our blood sugar and Rufus was 99! He had mint chocolate chip ice cream with me for our night snack.

Today Rufus and I woke up early. Then we read some of the book I told you about for about 10 minutes or so. It was a big day for Rufus. When we got out of bed, we got ready for school, ate breakfast, brushed our teeth, got our stuff together and went to my third grade class! There are eighteen kids including my teacher and me! Their names are for the boys Cody, Samule, Ryan, Miachel, Cole, Patrick, Mark, Mitchall, Evan, Phillip and for the girls Jordan, Lindsay, Monique, Alissa, Emily, Shannon, Madison, Katie, and me. My teacher's name is Ms. Lightsey. Well first we went to P.E. (gym) but Rufus was tired so he took a nap. Then we go back and have a snack and do work till 11:45 or so but I showed Rufus to the people in the office including the nurse. The assistant principle asked Rufus and me to be on the announcements with Mrs. York (the counselor)! It was finally time for lunch and Rufus was about 103. After lunch we have recess! After recess we got filmed for the announcements. It will be on Thursday morning, September 19, 2002. I went to class and everyone wanted to see Rufus. First we talked about him then I let everyone check him and give him a shot. Before you know it's 3:00 and it's time to go home. When we get home we have a snack and play outside on the trampoline. Then we went to Midway High School for a hamburger supper and football game.

Today we slept in late and when we woke up we ate breakfast. We stayed home, watched TV and played school with my big brother, Addison. Of course we ate lunch and supper. Before you know it it's time to go to bed. We brushed our teeth, got our p.j.'s on and went to bed. That's all we did on Saturday.

Today we woke up at about 8:00. We ate breakfast and and got ready for church. Everyone at church was glad to meet Rufus. After church we ate lunch. At about 2:30 we all went to get our good friend to sell drinks for JDRF at the Parade of Homes.
The week of Sept. 16-23
This week was a very busy week! Tuesday we went to piano lessons (Rufus and me) to meet my teacher! Thursday we had to come home early so we could talk to the newspaper people and take pictures! Friday morning we were on the announcements at school. Saturday we went to a Baylor game (football) and tailgated with our friends! Monday Rufus and I were in the newspaper! Wednesday we went to school and afterward we went to church for choir and GA's (Girls in Action). Thursday was Rufus' last day at school and he is going to California next. And I hope they like him like I did!
Rufus and I had loads and loads of fun and everyone loved him very, very much but not as much as me! I hope I'll see Rufus soon!
