Hello! Welcome to our house, Rufus! It's Monday, May 10, 2004, and it's 72 degrees in Milpitas, California at the Thomas house. The UPS main rang the doorbell and Noah ran to the door. Boy, was he excited when the package (finally) was for him. (They're always for Mama.)

Today, you joined Noah at his spelling bee. He competed against other kindergartners and came in 5th place out of all of the kindergartners! Noah is a 6 year old boy, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 4 1/2. He has a baby sister, Julia (19 months). They are best friends and have so much fun together. Noah loves to read, play, draw, color, and just have fun! He has not let his diabetes slow him down. He will start the pump in 3 weeks.
