Camp Sweeney, located 1 1/2 hours north of Dallas/Ft. Worth, offers children ages 6-18 three 3-week residential behavior modification programs, two 1-week programs (1 in the summer and 1 between Christmas and New Years) and weekend family camps.

While riding down the road recently, my nine year old diabetic daughter calls out "420" from the backseat. My husband and I both panic and begin the procedure to lower her blood sugar ... only to realize she was just announcing the time, 4:20pm in the afternoon!
You know you're the parent of a child with diabetes when your child is playing a video game and when the "life force" level starts running out she says "Oh no! I'm low" and then starts laughing hysterically and says "I need glucose tablets!" See more parent humor.
