After switching to NovoLog, I had itching and hard pump sites. I have similar issues with Novo Nordisk insulins on MDI. I could not use Afrezza either. Both my new allergist and my endocrinologist are mystified. What are your thoughts?

My relative with Addison’s has been experiencing blood sugars up to 14 mmol/L (252 mg/dl) and was put on metformin. Given her GAD antibody results, I wonder if she has type 1 diabetes. Are the elevated numbers from her steroids?

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 after bronchitis, steroids, and antibiotics. Though I was told the virus was the trigger, could her diagnosis have been related to chemicals used by nearby farms or any pesticides or cleaners I have used at home? How do we know how long she has had antibodies?
