The world has been grappling with COVID-19 for months, and our diabetes community is dealing with affected income, difficulty accessing healthcare, navigating childcare and school, and also the mental health burden of living through a pandemic.  The vast majority of respondents clicked the "mental health" selection for this week's poll, and it's no surprise.  The lockdowns and isolation of COVID-19 have made mental health issues more prevalent, especially in communities where health concerns like diabetes make COVID-19 outcomes potentially more serious.

Our team at CWD has been working hard to create resources for people who are feeling overwhelmed by COVID, including a recent Screenside Chat with William Polonsky, PhD, CDE, President and Founder of the Behavioral Diabetes Institute, and CWD Board member and PWD, Kerri Sparling, where they discussed managing diabetes and mental health during a global health crisis.

Check back with us often for more resources on staying as well as possible during COVID-19.
