Insulin is not optional when it comes to type 1 diabetes, so our CWD family is very familiar with the need for insulin. Over the last thirty years, there have been advancements in insulin therapy that have brought us from the "dark ages" of animal insulin to the streamlined analog insulins many people with diabetes use today.
According to this week's poll, the CWD community is into pumping insulin, with the majority of respondents using an insulin pump with Humalog insulin. (Pumping with Novolog was a close second.)
Whether you're using an insulin pump, or smart pen, or vial and injection therapy, taking insulin is part of life with type 1 diabetes.
