Type 2

I have had some stress in my life for the past week or so. Could this be the cause, or am I in some other trouble? When should I call my doctor?

I am not opposed to beginning an insulin regimen and just want what is best for my long-term health.

Does he really have diabetes? If so, what type? What should we do to normalize his blood sugar? Please advise as to what foods should he eat and should not eat.

What would cause my three-hour postprandial blood sugar to be higher than my two-hour postprandial blood sugar?

I have had type 2 diabetes for 16 years, I am careful with my diet and exercise, I am on Amaryl once a day, and my blood sugars are normal most times three hours after eating, but my fasting blood sugars are slightly elevated. Why? What can I do so that I don’t have this rise in blood sugars in the morning?

My 94 year old aunt was diagnosed with diabetes a little over a year ago, but now her doctors are telling her that she doesn’t have diabetes anymore and doesn’t need to test her blood sugar levels. Is it possible for type 2 diabetes to just “go away” in elderly individuals?
