Question from Ontario, New York, USA:

Do you have any idea when EMLA cream will be coming back on the market?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

I have no information about when the maker of EMLA cream will begin selling it again to the general public. The manufacturer removed EMLA because it lacked child-resistant packaging, and indicated that it would be back at some point.

In the meantime, there are other numbing creams that you can get, such as ELA-Max, which is another topical
anesthetic that works great for numbing the skin prior to inserting an infusion set. Your pharmacist can order Ela-MAX for you.
