Meal Planning, Food and Diet

advertisement
Question from Oxford, Ohio, USA:

How are you supposed to know how many carbohydrates to eat in one day?

Answer:

From: DTeam Staff

I would recommend that you schedule an appointment with a registered dietitian who specializes in diabetes meal planning. He/she can develop an individualized meal plan that provides adequate calories and an individualized combination of carbohydrate, protein and fat for optimal blood glucose control. Ask your primary care physician if you need a referral to a registered dietitian. Meal plans are individualized nowadays instead of “one diet fits all.”
