I have had type 1 diabetes for 13 years. My girlfriend also has it. What are the consequences for our marriage?

The risk to your offspring, if I read the question correctly, is slightly increased but should not be of concern in regards to marriage. Diabetes should not be the determining factor in a relationship. In fact, in my opinion, and in my experience with my patients, having both partners with diabetes has been advantageous to each individual. Your attention to detail is enhanced.
