Question from Chicago, Illinois, USA:

I have type1 diabetes, and I know that excess sugar is excreted from the body in urine. Does it also comes out in sweat or through other body organs?

Answer:

Any body fluid that is in equilibrium with extracellular water may have raised sugar levels in someone with diabetes. This is certainly true of saliva and sweat, but you would need a technique like mass spectroscopy to detect it.
